The Komodo Islands are one of the most famous tourist destinations in Indonesia because they are the home of Indonesia's endemic animal, the Komodo dragon. However, that's not all that makes this place special. Amazing natural beauty is also here, such as under the sea which is famous for its coral reefs and unspoiled ecosystems. Therefore, there are several interesting snorkeling spots in the Komodo Island area:

1.Batu Bolong Reef

Between Tatawa Island and Komodo Island, there is a charming underwater paradise. In fact, various international media have placed Batu Bolong Reef as one of the best diving and snorkeling spots in the world, because this place is the habitat of various colorful fish that you can rarely find in other waters. The coral reefs here are still beautiful so they are brightly colored

2.Kanawa Island

Kanawa Island which is managed privately by the local community, although rarely heard and not included in the Komodo National Park, the beauty of its underwater nature cannot be missed. There are many large fish and small sharks that you can find in shallow areas. You can also find other marine animals, such as groupers, lion fish, and if you're lucky you can find turtles. The coral reefs are still radiant colors. Because the water is so clear, you can see it clearly from above.

3.Takamakasar

Taka Makassar is a very small island in Labuan Bajo and this island will only appear when the water is receding. Under this crescent-shaped island and clean white sand, you can find the captivating beauty of the sea. Clusters of coral reefs surrounded by small fish can be seen clearly because of the clear sea water.

4.Manta Point

What's special about this place is that you can chat with endangered aquatic animals that are protected in Indonesia, namely manta rays or manta rays typical of Eastern Indonesia. You can touch, caress, and feed the manta rays. Of course, it must be supervised by a diving guide and besides being quite dangerous this diving location is quite deep. Wherever there are mantas, there are jellyfish. No wonder, because jellyfish are the main food of mantas. You can also find jellyfish colonies swimming in groups here.

5.Pink Beach

Besides being famous for its fine pink sand, Pink Beach is also famous for its snorkeling spots that you can't miss. You can also see directly the red coral lined up along the coastline. The pink color comes from red coral rocks whose debris is carried by the ocean currents towards the beach. Even though it's beautiful, don't bring these rocks home so that the beauty and sustainability of this beach is maintained.

6.Kelor Island

In addition to its beautiful and still quiet islands, Kelor Island also has the underwater beauty that can spoil the eyes. A large area of coral reefs makes you satisfied to explore it and diving in the clear waters of Kelor Island will make you forget the time. Moreover, you will see a variety of exotic colorful fish and beautiful coral reefs. The currents here tend to be calmer, perfect for beginner divers.

7.Bidadari Island

Apart from its beautiful white sand beaches, Bidadari Island also has a large group of coral reefs that you can see clearly from above. Amazing underwater panorama with beautiful colorful fish will welcome you here. These waters are suitable for those of you who are snorkeling for the first time because you can find coral reefs just a few meters from the beach. This place is also the best diving spot for beginners because of the calm currents.
